This sounds very good!

In the Perl world, there is a weekly summary of discussion on the
perl5-porters list.  It seems to be written by Mark-Jason Dominus most
(all?) of the time.  We could do the same thing if we could find people to
do it.  Perhaps a weekly Python-dev URL?  If we had enough reporters, it
might not be too much work.

Volunteers?  I'd be happy to coordinate.
