I just took the one which was available through pacman, and I saw only

  msys/git

There is no

  mingw64/mingw-w64-x86_64-git

AFAICT.  Or are you thinking about 'Git for Windows' releases?  And
until now, I had no problems with MSYS2 git.

I can't tell where that comes from.

Yes, I get the same result when doing the excercise within cmd.exe.
