Matrixgekoppelte Mikrofrakturierung | Arthroskopie

Abstract

There are different treatment options for cartilage defect repair. These consist of procedures with and without chondrocyte transplantation. Procedures include microfracturing, transplantation of osteochondral tissue (OATS), and autologous chondrocyte transplantation (ACT). A new technique for cartilage repair is the so-called autologous matrix-induced chondrogenesis (AMIC). This procedure is an innovative treatment combining the well-known microfracturing with collagen matrix implant and fibrin glue. The costs were significantly reduced, and immediate cartilage repair is possible in a single procedure.
