Die optischen Isomeren von 6-Hydroxydopa wurden synthetisiert und ihr Effekt auf den Katecholaminspiegel verschiedener Organe in der Ratte bestimmt. Dem (−)-Isomeren gegenüber waren Herz und Nebennieren äusserst empfindlich und im Gehirn wurde der Norepinephrinspiegel erniedrigt.
