Abstract

Regosols are developed on gravelly, sandy, silty, and clayey sediments rich in carbonate contents and transported by surface flow or by rivers and deposited to paleolakes and seas. The setting of sediments varies due to the transporting agents. Deposited materials exposed to the surface are easily eroded by tectonic movements. Based on their mode of formation, Regosols are found on hilly landscapes.
