Podzols | SpringerLink

Abstract

Podzols are soils with a spodic illuviation horizon under a subsurface horizon that has the appearance of ash and is covered by an organic layer; from Russian pod, underneath, and zola ash (IUSS Working Group WRB 2015). The Podzols in Turkey are found as patches under forest vegetation. The soils associated to Podzols are the Lixisols , Alisols , and some Acrisols .
