Antibiotics. Business-as-usual. The graph shows the Volga concentration of antibiotics at different positions on the river 1950–2100 under a business-as-usual scenario. The high concentrations occur at the Oka River node in the Volga River, when all the pollution from Moskva region arrives to the Volga, together with increasing amounts from animal production in the area. The terms PNEC (0.1 μg/l), low risk (0.5 μg/l), and significant risk (1 μg /l) are limits recommended by EU and WHO
