Import Postman data using the Postman VS Code extension

You can import collections and environments that were exported from Postman. You can also import requests using a cURL command.

Postman no longer supports the collection v1 format. You can convert your collection's format from v1 to v2 to import it using the VS Code extension.

To import data, do the following:

  1. Click Import at the top of the sidebar.

  2. Choose how you'd like to import your data:

  3. If you're importing multiple files or a folder, select the checkbox next to the files you want to import, then select Import.

You can also use the Postman: Import command from the Command Palette to import data.
