Type and Period (5) Full Description

Once a clinic, Ada Lovelace House is now a part of Ashfield District Council offices. (1)
Moulding above left hand side door lintel indicates building dates from 1933. Above right hand lintel is another moulding with KUDC (Kirkby District Council). Listed on 1938 OS as library. Original brick and roof cover, windows have been replaced with UPVC. Above ground floor windows looks as if upper part of windows have been filled in. It would appear that it was originally the library which may have been relocated across the street to 35 Urban Road (574) in the 1960's when the UDC moved or expanded into the library building. (NCC notes 1)
Developed into office space by Woodheads in 2017. Project was funded by Ashfield District Council and the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership’s Local Growth Fund allocation. Officialy reopended on Ada Lovelace Day (JEB NCC).
Locally Listed by Ashfield District Council (ADC Ref: 575) (1).

<1> Ashfield District Council, Ashfield Local List (Document). SNT4755.
