Using the Tableau Server REST API, you can access connection information used by data sources, workbooks, and flows.
In some cases you might need to identify the connection type used by the content. When you request information about databases, the request returns a âconnectionTypeâ attribute in the response body. The value returned for the "connectionType"Â attribute is the name of the connection type.
Use the table below to map the "connectionType"Â name to the connection name that's displayed in various places within the Tableau platform.
