Coderbyte is committed to ensuring that cheating is both prevented and detected in order for organizations to make data-driven and unbiased hiring decisions. If a candidate does any of the following, they will be flagged within the candidate report as participating in suspicious activity:
- Trying to access Coderbyte's challenge library as an employer
- Abusing the built-in Google Search
- Using any illicit browser extensions
- Skipping webcam verification or video response questions
- Using a VPN or slow internet connection
- Being in a known public location where cheating frequently occurs
- Trying to modify any scripts running on our platform
- Typing code in a suspicious manner
- Taking a screenshot or a photo with their phone
- Used the assessment's public link multiple times with fake email address
