Long lines get truncated in table format. This is useful for pretty printing and a general overview, but eliminates important information. While those columns can be retrieved individually using vmdkops_admin.py ls -c <blah>
, this is an unfriendly and cumbersome interface.
This issue is to add a --output-format=list
option for ls and status commands. This will list each key on it's own line and separate volume keys from one another with a blank line. The default will be --output-format=table
and work as it does today.
Simplify the code to pass around dicts to make this easier to implement.
In the future we can add --output-format=json
and --output-format=csv
as needed.
