Handle dictionary items like content and media · Issue #17 · umbraco/Umbraco.Deploy.Issues · GitHub

Scenario:
We want to use dictionary items in our websites but don't really care for the values because our customers will change them (on DEV and/or LIVE). Sometimes the customer changes the a dictionary item on DEV for testing and forgets about if. If we, as developers, publish DEV to LIVE using the dashboard on umbraco.io these dictionary changes are overwritten.

Solution:
It would be nice to have an option to let Umbraco Cloud/Deploy handle dictionary items as content instead of metadata just as it has been implemented for Umbraco Forms:
https://our.umbraco.com/documentation/Umbraco-Cloud/Deployment/Umbraco-Forms-on-Cloud/

That way we never have to worry about any dictionary item changes and the customer (Umbraco user) has full control over the dictionary item values (by pushing or restoring them in Umbraco like any other content).
