I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue
- Your issue may already be reported.
I tried to reproduce the issue when...
- uBlock Origin is the only extension
- uBlock Origin with default lists/settings
- using a new, unmodified browser profile
I am running the latest version of uBlock Origin
I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I report is not a normal behavior

Description

Possible run malware / ads / tracking when is blocked in HOSTS format only.

A specific URL where the issue occurs

N/A - maybe local-host.blogspot.com

Steps to Reproduce

Expected behavior:

Exclude TLD as localhosts test?

127.0.0.1 local-host.blogspot.com - omitted
127.0.0.1 local.com.pl - omitted
127.0.0.1 localhost.pl - omitted

Actual behavior:

filters are omited and need ABP syntax:

||local-host.blogspot.com^
||local.com.pl^
||localhost.pl^

and this should valid (?):

127.0.0.1 local-host.blogspot.com
127.0.0.1 local.com.pl
127.0.0.1 localhost.pl
