Currently, if you press Ctrl+Space instead of < when inside text or whitespace, no element names are offered because the completions are currently designed to only replace an existing element (e.g. <> which is inserted when they press <).
Modify them to handle insertion of new elements, too (which is totally doable; just use the target position as an empty range).
