save as template overwrites previous template name rather than save as new name · Issue #1640 · staxrip/staxrip · GitHub

Describe the bug
if you load a template, then save as template after making modifications, it saves over the previous template name rather than the newly specified name

Expected behavior
when supplying a save as template name, that is the file that should be written/overwritten, not the original template name

How to reproduce the issue

  1. load a template - mine have been loading x265 templates, i don't know if the issue is specific to x265 templates.
  2. choose save as template
  3. specify a new name for the template
  4. choose ok - the original template name will be overwitten (date time modified changes in the original template, not the newly specified
  5. if you repeat once more specifying the same name it will save using the new name, but the old one will also have been overwritten. Looks like the filename supplied in the dialog is not making it into the save routine first time around

Since I iterate template version to test new settings, this has been annihilating my previous templates as i have progressed in tweaking my settings, and prevented back tracking

I'm not certain but believe the behaviour introduced in either 2.46.2 or 2.46.1
