Nonprofit organizations that are 501(c)(3) or equivalent and are non-governmental, non-academic, non-commercial, non-political in nature, and have no religious affiliation are eligible for a free GitHub Team Plan with unlimited private repositories and unlimited users or 25% off of GitHub Enterprise Cloud.

What if our organization does not qualify for nonprofit status but works in the social sector?

At this time, we only support registered 501(c)(3) or equivalent organizations. In the future, we hope to provide additional programmatic support to social sector organizations.
