We current have 'mongoengine>=0.16.3,<0.17' for the OrionDBExplorer, however this is an old version and we should consider upgrading.
Critical Point
In 'setuptools>58.0.0' release, lib2to3 is no longer supported making mongoengine<0.20 fail. Upgrading mongoengine>=0.20 for this change.
