Inspired by @eblondel's question https://community.rstudio.com/t/failed-to-install-redland-package-with-github-r-lib-actions/117635 I wonder whether sometimes it'd be useful, for debugging purposes, to see the output of commands installing system requirements.

Being able to set the echo argument of pak::local_system_requirements() in setup-r-dependencies to TRUE.
