• It's unlikely they're used
• Their values are treated as strings by Jaxen, and Saxon throws an error. A best effort with Saxon would be to use the "untyped atomic" type for them, but that would make them effectively usable as strings, without the type safety of XPath 2.0.
• MethodProperty at least checks its inputs to see if it's a real method, but FileProperty doesn't even check if the file exists, so it offers no advantage over StringProperty whatsoever

I don't see any case where they could not be replaced with StringProperty, yet they'll be a pain to maintain and document if our XPath support evolves.

Hence I think we should remove the ability of XPath rules to define and use them, which amounts to deleting a few lines in PropertyDescriptorUtil and updating the doc.

(Until 6.0.0 comes out this feature was never documented (#749) so there's still time to delete them without trouble)
