Cell-level cut & paste overwrites multiple cells · Issue #1290 · ipython/ipython · GitHub

When cutting and pasting cells, I often see that the pasted cell is pasted multiple times, overwriting more than one cell. I am able to reproduce this consistently, but not sure what triggers it. Here's one way:

  1. Create a new notebook.
  2. Construct 3 cells: "123", "456", "789"
  3. Cut cell one, paste it over cell one
  4. Again, cut cell one, paste it over cell one

On the last paste, two cells are overwritten.
