With pyreadline 1.5:

File "c:\development\python27\lib\site-packages\IPython\frontend\terminal\interactiveshell.py", line 346, in interact
    hlen_b4_cell = self.readline.get_current_history_length()
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'get_current_history_length'

Additionally, pyreadline 1.7.1 fixes the 64 bit issue :) No reason not to require something current.
