Important Note: The v8 CF CLI binary is named cf8 with a symlink cf which points to it so CLI commands can be invoked using either cf or cf8.

The v8 CLI's minimum supported version of the CC API is 3.99.0 (published in CAPI release 1.109.0). See the releases page for the minimum CAPI versions required for each v8 release.

using Homebrew via the cloudfoundry tap:

brew install cloudfoundry/tap/cf-cli@8

Note: cf tab completion requires bash-completion to be installed properly in order to work.

using Chocolatey

choco install cloudfoundry-cli

Debian and Ubuntu based Linux distributions. Supported versions include Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy with apt version 2.4.13 or newer:
