We recently moved from running on physical machines to using AWS Lambda. I have determined that initial connection times are super slow when we run from Lambda. At first I thought this was an AWS issue so I reached out to their engineers and I had them reproduce the issue. However when they switch to a different runtime(python), the issue is not present and so they said it isn't related to the lambda itself but something in our client that we connect with.
Otherwise this SDK functions perfectly correctly, its just the initial connection times.
Is there any community where people use stack exchange redis on lambda? Somebody else must have noticed this as its quite impacting request performance.
We are connecting to a redis cluster with many shards incase that is relevant.
