In any of the decoders, there is a possibility that the decoding process may remain in a waiting state after detecting a single pulse (caused, for instance, by interference in the output signal of the IR module) or after detecting a certain number of IR pulses emitted by remotes using protocols different from the selected one. In this situation, the decoder may fail to detect the first press of a button on the remote control. Subsequent presses will function correctly, provided there is no further interference.
