LimesLimits/aoristic-analysis: Python script to run aoristic analysis

The Python script sim_dat.py can be used for estimating probabilities of find numbers per period. Input is a text file with probabilities of dating per find.

N.B. These probabilities are summed in sequential order from earliest to latest period in order to attribute the simulated finds to one particular period, as in the sample input file dat_vondst_cum.txt. This is not automated in the script, the probabilities were calculated using SQL statements in MS Access.

The first column contains the site number, columns 2 through 8 the probabilities of dating per period, and the last column the total number of finds for this observation. This can be adapted as needed in the Python script for different periodisation schemes.
