Recognize punctuation characters in the end of a scientific name. #299Assignees
DescriptionWhen scientific names come from texts they are often terminated by period, comma, colon and semicolon. We need to cover such cases to use parser for name recognition in scientific texts.
For example:
Negalasa fumalis Barnes & McDunnough 1913. Next sentence
Negalasa fumalis. Next sentence
Negalasa fumalis, continuation of a sentence
Negalasa fumalis Barnes; something else
Negaprion brevirostris Negaprion brevirostris, the rest of the sentence
