As well as there are java and PERL programs using it. But they never
assume it to work directly with their compilers/interpreters but accept
the need for a wrapper...
Maybe the fact that for C++ that wrapper is already part of ffmpeg
really is too confusing for some and we should remove the 'extern "C" {'
stuff ;-) (half-joking).
