Bobsledder that fails WP:GNG. I was unable to find anything about him. WhoIsCentreLeft (talk) 15:38, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

- Someone should check Lëtzebuerger Olympia Lexikon - Henri Bressler - Pierre Gricius - Georges Klepper - Éditions Schortgen - 2014 - ISBN 978-2-87953-197-7 Säit 245, cited in the Luxembourgish article for several bits of information on him. Its very likely coverage of him. BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:51, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it would be good if someone could check this book. It is apparently 78 pages long with 407 Olympians covered - roughly 5 Olympians per page. I therefore expect that whilst some athletes will have significant coverage in it, others may only have brief coverage, and it is likely that this man (who the Luxembourgish article names Auguste Wagner, and who did not finish in the two-man bobsled in 1936) is one of the later. - Redirect to Luxembourg at the 1936 Winter Olympics#Bobsleigh as with other AfD nominations of Luxembourgish sportspeople in the early years. ⋆。˚꒰ঌ Clara A. Djalim ໒꒱˚。⋆ 13:48, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect - Failed to finish in the one Olympic event that they took part in, which was a team event, name uncertain (may have been Auguste). The "COSL-ALO profile" in the article links to Henri Koch's profile, incorrectly stating that he finished 22 out 23 (Koch and Wagner were 23rd out of 23: there were two Luxembourg teams, the other one came 22nd - see here on p.432 of the pdf (419 in the page-numbering)). If this person is notable in any way, it certainly isn't due to their performance in the 1936 Olympics. Nothing found in my WP:BEFORE. FOARP (talk) 19:39, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to Luxembourg at the 1936 Winter Olympics#Bobsleigh. Not enough coverage for this subject. Notability not established. Ramos1990 (talk) 23:28, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
