This template is used for undue precision in data. Such data is inappropriate because it gives a false indication of the state of knowledge of the subject. This typically occurs because a calculation was made without considering significant figures; this is not uncommon when converting between systems of units, such as imperial to metric.

If 'section' is indicated, {{Undue precision|section}}, this template will display a banner. Otherwise it will create an in-line note.
