Skyscraper in Cape Town, South Africa
The Naspers Centre is a 93-metre (305 ft) skyscraper in the Foreshore area of Cape Town, South Africa.[citation needed]
At its completion in 1962, it was known as the Sanlam Centre and was the tallest building in South Africa (fourth tallest in Africa). An electronic news feed used to be displayed on the exterior of the building which would become visible at night.[1]
The building serves as the headquarters of one of South Africa's largest companies by revenue; multinational media company Naspers.[citation needed]
One of Naspers' subsidiaries is Media24, the branding of which can be seen on the side of the building. A digital display below the logo displays information relating to various Media24 publications, such as locally-distributed magazines.[citation needed]
