<@liferay.language key="ecl-info" />Information on the database
Data > Database > Info EN REVAMPDetailed datasets contains all data publicly available from Eurostat. They are presented in so-called multi-dimensional datasets.
Selected datasets offers a selection of Eurostat data offering less indicators and variables than the detailed datasets. Data are presented in 2 or 3 dimensional tables.
Both branches are organised according to 9 statistical themes.
EU policies presents datasets organised according to specific EU policies.
Cross-cutting offers a selection of statistical topics that are obtained from different data sources and collections.
All datasets can be customised and downloaded in different formats.
Data in the data navigation tree are updated twice a day at 11:00 and 23:00, Central European Time (CET).
Icons Icon Explanation Data browser is the tool for displaying, visualising, and downloading data. It allows you to adapt the dataset to your needs by filtering dimensions, creating customised views, saving bookmarks, and making use of the different download formats. For more details, please consult the online help of the data browser. Dataset compression is used to download complete datasets in tabular separate value format (tsv). Metadata offer explanatory texts and summary information about the statistical indicators or data collections. COMEXT database includes data on international trade and production of goods. Dictionaries / code listsComplete code lists can be found in the bulk download under the tab code lists.
Flags are codes added to the data and defining a specific characteristic.
As from 27 January 2025, flags will be dispatched in 2 code lists: Obs_status (observation status) and Conf_status (confidentiality status). This change will further align the flags with the SDMX usage of flags.
Observation statusThe observation status list 'Obs_status' will contain the following flags:
Obs_status code Definition b break in time series d definition differs (see metadata) e estimated f forecast i value imputed by Eurostat or other receiving agencies m missing value, data cannot exist n not significant p provisional u low reliability Confidentiality statusThe confidentiality status list 'Conf_status' will contain the following flags:
Conf_status code Definition C confidential N not for publication P information under non-statistical secrecy arrangementsThe flags N (not for publication) and P (information under non-statistical secrecy arrangements) are newly introduced flag codes.
Change of previous codesThe previously existing codes of the following 3 flags have been changed:
Previous flag New flag s (Eurostat estimate) i (value imputed by Eurostat or other receiving agencies) z (not applicable) m (missing value, data cannot exist) c (confidential) C (confidential) - but moved to the new 'Conf_status' code list Coding conventions Value Definition 0 real zero 0n less than half of the unit used and different from real zero Special valueThis code replaces the real data.
