Use this API to interact with CI/CD pipelines.

List project pipelines

History

List pipelines in a project.

By default, child pipelines are not included in the results. To return child pipelines, set source to parent_pipeline.

GET /projects/:id/pipelines

Use the page and per_page pagination parameters to control the pagination of results.

Expected in ISO 8601 format (2019-03-15T08:00:00Z). updated_before datetime No Return pipelines updated before the specified date. History

Get one pipeline from a project.

You can also get a single child pipeline.

Get the latest pipeline

History

Get the latest pipeline for the most recent commit on a specific ref in a project. If no pipeline exists for the commit, a 403 status code is returned.

GET /projects/:id/pipelines/latest

Use the page and per_page pagination parameters to control the pagination of results.

Attribute Type Required Description ref string No The branch or tag to check for the latest pipeline. Defaults to the default branch when not specified.

Get a test report for a pipeline

This API route is part of the Unit test report feature.

Create a new pipeline

History

POST /projects/:id/pipeline
Attribute Type Required Description id integer/string Yes The ID or URL-encoded path of the project ref string Yes The branch or tag to run the pipeline on. For merge request pipelines use the merge requests endpoint. variables array No An array of hashes containing the variables available in the pipeline, matching the structure [{ 'key': 'UPLOAD_TO_S3', 'variable_type': 'file', 'value': 'true' }, {'key': 'TEST', 'value': 'test variable'}]. If variable_type is excluded, it defaults to env_var. inputs hash No A hash containing the inputs, as key-value pairs, to use when creating the pipeline.

Retry jobs in a pipeline

History

Retry failed or canceled jobs in a pipeline. If there are no failed or canceled jobs in the pipeline, calling this endpoint has no effect.

Cancel all jobs for a pipeline
POST /projects/:id/pipelines/:pipeline_id/cancel

This endpoint returns a success response 200 regardless of the pipeline’s state. For more information, see issue 414963.

Delete a pipeline

Deleting a pipeline expires all pipeline caches, and deletes all immediately related objects, such as builds, logs, artifacts, and triggers. This action cannot be undone.

Deleting a pipeline does not automatically delete its child pipelines. See the related issue for details.

You can update the metadata of a pipeline. The metadata contains the name of the pipeline.
