AWS services or capabilities described in AWS Documentation may vary by region/location. Click Getting Started with Amazon AWS to see specific differences applicable to the China (Beijing) Region.

Calls the Amazon EC2 Container Registry CreateRepository API operation.

New-ECRRepository

-RepositoryName <String>

-EncryptionConfiguration_EncryptionType <EncryptionType>

-ImageTagMutability <ImageTagMutability>

-ImageTagMutabilityExclusionFilter <ImageTagMutabilityExclusionFilter[]>

-EncryptionConfiguration_KmsKey <String>

-RegistryId <String>

-ImageScanningConfiguration_ScanOnPush <Boolean>

-Tag <Tag[]>

-Select <String>

-Force <SwitchParameter>

-ClientConfig <AmazonECRConfig>

Creates a repository. For more information, see

Amazon ECR repositories

in the

Amazon Elastic Container Registry User Guide

.

Amazon.PowerShell.Cmdlets.ECR.AmazonECRClientCmdlet.ClientConfig

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

The encryption type to use.If you use the

KMS

encryption type, the contents of the repository will be encrypted using server-side encryption with Key Management Service key stored in KMS. When you use KMS to encrypt your data, you can either use the default Amazon Web Services managed KMS key for Amazon ECR, or specify your own KMS key, which you already created. If you use the

KMS_DSSE

encryption type, the contents of the repository will be encrypted with two layers of encryption using server-side encryption with the KMS Management Service key stored in KMS. Similar to the

KMS

encryption type, you can either use the default Amazon Web Services managed KMS key for Amazon ECR, or specify your own KMS key, which you've already created. If you use the

AES256

encryption type, Amazon ECR uses server-side encryption with Amazon S3-managed encryption keys which encrypts the images in the repository using an AES256 encryption algorithm. For more information, see

Amazon ECR encryption at rest

in the

Amazon Elastic Container Registry User Guide

.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

-EncryptionConfiguration_KmsKey <

String

>

If you use the KMS encryption type, specify the KMS key to use for encryption. The alias, key ID, or full ARN of the KMS key can be specified. The key must exist in the same Region as the repository. If no key is specified, the default Amazon Web Services managed KMS key for Amazon ECR will be used.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

This parameter overrides confirmation prompts to force the cmdlet to continue its operation. This parameter should always be used with caution.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

-ImageScanningConfiguration_ScanOnPush <

Boolean

>

The setting that determines whether images are scanned after being pushed to a repository. If set to

true

, images will be scanned after being pushed. If this parameter is not specified, it will default to

false

and images will not be scanned unless a scan is manually started with the

API_StartImageScan

API.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

The tag mutability setting for the repository. If this parameter is omitted, the default setting of MUTABLE will be used which will allow image tags to be overwritten. If IMMUTABLE is specified, all image tags within the repository will be immutable which will prevent them from being overwritten.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

Creates a repository with a list of filters that define which image tags can override the default image tag mutability setting. Starting with version 4 of the SDK this property will default to null. If no data for this property is returned from the service the property will also be null. This was changed to improve performance and allow the SDK and caller to distinguish between a property not set or a property being empty to clear out a value. To retain the previous SDK behavior set the AWSConfigs.InitializeCollections static property to true.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases ImageTagMutabilityExclusionFilters

The Amazon Web Services account ID associated with the registry to create the repository. If you do not specify a registry, the default registry is assumed.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

The name to use for the repository. The repository name may be specified on its own (such as nginx-web-app ) or it can be prepended with a namespace to group the repository into a category (such as project-a/nginx-web-app ).The repository name must start with a letter and can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores, and forward slashes.

Required? True Position? 1 Accept pipeline input? True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'Repository'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.ECR.Model.CreateRepositoryResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.ECR.Model.CreateRepositoryResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

The metadata that you apply to the repository to help you categorize and organize them. Each tag consists of a key and an optional value, both of which you define. Tag keys can have a maximum character length of 128 characters, and tag values can have a maximum length of 256 characters.

Common Credential and Region Parameters

The AWS access key for the user account. This can be a temporary access key if the corresponding session token is supplied to the -SessionToken parameter.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases AK

An AWSCredentials object instance containing access and secret key information, and optionally a token for session-based credentials.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)

The endpoint to make the call against.Note: This parameter is primarily for internal AWS use and is not required/should not be specified for normal usage. The cmdlets normally determine which endpoint to call based on the region specified to the -Region parameter or set as default in the shell (via Set-DefaultAWSRegion). Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName)

-NetworkCredential <PSCredential>

Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)

Used to specify the name and location of the ini-format credential file (shared with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs)If this optional parameter is omitted this cmdlet will search the encrypted credential file used by the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio first. If the profile is not found then the cmdlet will search in the ini-format credential file at the default location: (user's home directory)\.aws\credentials.If this parameter is specified then this cmdlet will only search the ini-format credential file at the location given. As the current folder can vary in a shell or during script execution it is advised that you use specify a fully qualified path instead of a relative path.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases AWSProfilesLocation, ProfilesLocation

The user-defined name of an AWS credentials or SAML-based role profile containing credential information. The profile is expected to be found in the secure credential file shared with the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio. You can also specify the name of a profile stored in the .ini-format credential file used with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases StoredCredentials, AWSProfileName

-Region <Object>

The system name of an AWS region or an AWSRegion instance. This governs the endpoint that will be used when calling service operations. Note that the AWS resources referenced in a call are usually region-specific.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases RegionToCall

The AWS secret key for the user account. This can be a temporary secret key if the corresponding session token is supplied to the -SessionToken parameter.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases SK, SecretAccessKey

The session token if the access and secret keys are temporary session-based credentials.

Required? False Position? Named Accept pipeline input? True (ByPropertyName) Aliases ST

This cmdlet returns an Amazon.ECR.Model.Repository object. The service call response (type Amazon.ECR.Model.CreateRepositoryResponse) can be returned by specifying '-Select *'.
