Proxifier is a universal proxy enabler for Windows, macOS, and Android that allows applications that don't natively support proxies to connect to the internet through a proxy server.
This guide will demonstrate how to set up Oxylabs' Datacenter Proxies with Proxifier.
Download and install Proxifier and make use of the 31-day free trial. On Windows, you can also get a portable version.
NOTE: Before adding proxies, disable VPNs, in-app proxy settings, or operating system proxy settings you might already have to avoid conflicting or double reroutes.
Add proxy and enter proxy detailsGo to Proxy Servers and Add a new proxy.
Specify the following if you purchased Datacenter Proxies.
Type: HTTPS
or SOCKS5
Host: dc.oxylabs.io
Port: 8001
For the Pay-per-IP subscription, the port corresponds to the sequential number assigned to an IP address from the provided list. Hence, port 8001
uses the first IP address on your list. See our documentation for further details.
For the Pay-per-traffic subscription, port 8001
randomly selects an IP address but remains consistent throughout a session. You can also specify geo-location, such as the US, in the user authentication string: user-USERNAME-country-US:PASSWORD
. For more details, please see our documentation .
Enable Authentication and enter your Oxylabs proxy user’s credentials. Use the same username and password you entered to create a new proxy user in the Oxylabs dashboard .
NOTE: The screenshots below show an example using Oxylabs' Residential Proxies. If you're using Datacenter Proxies, adjust the proxy details accordingly.
