Singapore – Google Data Center Location

Every day, more new internet users come online in Asia than anywhere else in the world. That’s why in 2013, Google opened our efficient and environmentally friendly Singapore data center. Our community contractors and employees foster innovative ideas like using recycled water to cool our data center and further drive our commitment to supporting the neighborhood we call home.

  Our commitment to the region continues to grow with the completion of a fourth data center facility in Singapore in 2024. This milestone brings the company’s total investments in technical infrastructure in the country to US$5 billion.

  We’ve been proud to call Singapore home as a hub for digital transformation since purchasing land in the Jurong West section in 2011.

• Singaporeans trained in digital skills

  In 2020, we launched Skills Ignition SG, a collaboration with the Singaporean government and local industry to provide both digital skills training and hands-on work experience for 5,500 people, with more expansion on the way.

• AI use cases

  The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), and Google Cloud launched “AI Trailblazers,” a joint initiative designed to help up to 100 organizations in Singapore identify real-world challenges that can be addressed with generative AI, build generative AI solution prototypes, and bring these prototypes to production.

2011

Google purchases land in the Jurong West section of Singapore.

2013

Our first data center in Southeast Asia goes online.

2015

Our second data center facility in Singapore becomes operational.

2022

Our third data center facility in Singapore begins operations.

2024

Google completes our fourth data center facility.
