Built in 2009, the Hamina data centre hasâ¨increased our long-term commitment to the region and the growth of the community, with â¬3.5 billion invested in the region to date.
Carbon-free energy usage
98%
In Finland in 2023, we achieved 98% Google carbon-free energy (CFE), and over three-quarters of this percentage was matched with our Contracted CFE within the Finnish grid region.
Recovering heat
80%
In collaboration with Haminan Energia, we launched our first offsite heat recovery project to reduce our environmental footprint and help warm homes and businesses. The initiative is expected to achieve an estimated 80% of the demand.
