How do wstring_convert::from_bytes and wstring_convert::to_bytes use the cvtstate member?
codecvt member functions? Is a copy of it passed to the member functions? "Otherwise it shall be left unchanged" implies a copy is used, but if that's really what's intended there are simpler ways to say so.
