Service Usage API C++ Client Library

An idiomatic C++ client library for the Service Usage API, an infrastructure service of Google Cloud that lets you list and manage APIs and Services in your Cloud projects.

While this library is GA, please note Google Cloud C++ client libraries do not follow Semantic Versioning.

Quickstart

The following shows the code that you'll run in the google/cloud/serviceusage/quickstart/ directory, which should give you a taste of the Service Usage API C++ client library API.

#include "google/cloud/serviceusage/v1/service_usage_client.h"
#include "google/cloud/project.h"
#include <iostream>

int main(int argc, char* argv[]) try {
  if (argc != 2) {
    std::cerr << "Usage: " << argv[0] << " project-id\n";
    return 1;
  }

  namespace serviceusage = ::google::cloud::serviceusage_v1;
  auto client = serviceusage::ServiceUsageClient(
      serviceusage::MakeServiceUsageConnection());

  auto const project = google::cloud::Project(argv[1]);
  google::api::serviceusage::v1::ListServicesRequest request;
  request.set_parent(project.FullName());
  request.set_filter("state:ENABLED");
  for (auto s : client.ListServices(request)) {
    if (!s) throw std::move(s).status();
    std::cout << s->DebugString() << "\n";
  }

  return 0;
} catch (google::cloud::Status const& status) {
  std::cerr << "google::cloud::Status thrown: " << status << "\n";
  return 1;
}
Main classes

The main class in this library is serviceusage_v1::ServiceUsageClient. All RPCs are exposed as member functions of this class. Other classes provide helpers, configuration parameters, and infrastructure to mock serviceusage_v1::ServiceUsageClient when testing your application.
