An idiomatic C++ client library for the Google Cloud Deploy API, a service to deliver continuously to Google Kubernetes Engine and Anthos.
While this library is GA, please note that the Google Cloud C++ client libraries do not follow Semantic Versioning.
QuickstartThe following shows the code that you'll run in the google/cloud/deploy/quickstart/
directory, which should give you a taste of the Google Cloud Deploy API C++ client library API.
#include "google/cloud/deploy/v1/cloud_deploy_client.h"
#include <iostream>
int main(int argc, char* argv[]) try {
if (argc != 3) {
std::cerr << "Usage: " << argv[0] << " project-id location-id\n";
return 1;
}
namespace deploy = ::google::cloud::deploy_v1;
auto client = deploy::CloudDeployClient(deploy::MakeCloudDeployConnection());
auto const parent =
std::string{"projects/"} + argv[1] + "/locations/" + argv[2];
for (auto r : client.ListDeliveryPipelines(parent)) {
if (!r) throw std::move(r).status();
std::cout << r->DebugString() << "\n";
}
return 0;
} catch (google::cloud::Status const& status) {
std::cerr << "google::cloud::Status thrown: " << status << "\n";
return 1;
}
Main classes
The main class in this library is deploy_v1::CloudDeployClient
. All RPCs are exposed as member functions of this class. Other classes provide helpers, configuration parameters, and infrastructure to mock deploy_v1::CloudDeployClient
when testing your application.
The library automatically retries requests that fail with transient errors, and uses exponential backoff to backoff between retries. Application developers can override the default policies.
