An idiomatic C++ client library for the Bare Metal Solution API, a service that provides ways to manage Bare Metal Solution hardware installed in a regional extension located near a Google Cloud data center.

While this library is GA, please note Google Cloud C++ client libraries do not follow Semantic Versioning.

Quickstart

The following shows the code that you'll run in the google/cloud/baremetalsolution/quickstart/ directory, which should give you a taste of the Bare Metal Solution API C++ client library API.

#include "google/cloud/baremetalsolution/v2/bare_metal_solution_client.h"
#include <iostream>

int main(int argc, char* argv[]) try {
  if (argc != 3) {
    std::cerr << "Usage: " << argv[0] << " project-id location-id\n";
    return 1;
  }

  namespace bms = ::google::cloud::baremetalsolution_v2;
  auto client =
      bms::BareMetalSolutionClient(bms::MakeBareMetalSolutionConnection());

  auto const parent =
      std::string{"projects/"} + argv[1] + "/locations/" + argv[2];
  for (auto r : client.ListInstances(parent)) {
    if (!r) throw std::move(r).status();
    std::cout << r->DebugString() << "\n";
  }

  return 0;
} catch (google::cloud::Status const& status) {
  std::cerr << "google::cloud::Status thrown: " << status << "\n";
  return 1;
}
Main classes

The main class in this library is baremetalsolution_v2::BareMetalSolutionClient. All RPCs are exposed as member functions of this class. Other classes provide helpers, configuration parameters, and infrastructure to mock baremetalsolution_v2::BareMetalSolutionClient when testing your application.
