An idiomatic C++ client library for the Access Context Manager API, a service for setting attribute based access control on requests to GCP services.
While this library is GA, please note Google Cloud C++ client libraries do not follow Semantic Versioning.
QuickstartThe following shows the code that you'll run in the google/cloud/accesscontextmanager/quickstart/
directory, which should give you a taste of the Access Context Manager API C++ client library API.
#include "google/cloud/accesscontextmanager/v1/access_context_manager_client.h"
#include <iostream>
int main(int argc, char* argv[]) try {
if (argc != 2) {
std::cerr << "Usage: " << argv[0] << " policy-id\n";
return 1;
}
namespace accesscontextmanager = ::google::cloud::accesscontextmanager_v1;
auto client = accesscontextmanager::AccessContextManagerClient(
accesscontextmanager::MakeAccessContextManagerConnection());
auto const parent = std::string("accessPolicies/") + argv[1];
for (auto r : client.ListAccessLevels(parent)) {
if (!r) throw std::move(r).status();
std::cout << r->DebugString() << "\n";
}
return 0;
} catch (google::cloud::Status const& status) {
std::cerr << "google::cloud::Status thrown: " << status << "\n";
return 1;
}
Main classes
The main class in this library is accesscontextmanager_v1::AccessContextManagerClient
. All RPCs are exposed as member functions of this class. Other classes provide helpers, configuration parameters, and infrastructure to mock accesscontextmanager_v1::AccessContextManagerClient
when testing your application.
The library automatically retries requests that fail with transient errors, and uses exponential backoff to backoff between retries. Application developers can override the default policies.
