Talk about Chelm. It’s time to get on with the business of safeguarding the citizens of Israel.

When antisemitism is tolerated – or dressed up as political critique – it doesn’t stay in the abstract. It sets fires to synagogues. It vandalizes restaurants. And it kills.

Netanyahu’s Washington trip is less a mid-war strategy session and more a staging event – a showcase of the US–Israel alliance reborn through conflict.

If Netanyahu’s belated pilgrimage to the Gaza periphery communities means anything, it must be that those voices now shape his agenda, not just his social-media feed.

The anger, hurt, disappointment, and frustration in our country are more than valid, but we cannot afford to call for institutional annihilation.

While that setup may serve the party leader well, it weakens and dilutes democracy by reducing transparency, participation, competition, and accountability.

The focus of our security forces has rightfully been on the survival of the Jewish state, as the country has fought enemies on seven fronts. But the enemy from within needs to be addressed now.

Many Jews in Britain have professed their fear of the future. Many have decided that enough is enough and that the time has now come to move to Israel, or other, safer pastures for Jews.

Israel has to move on, meaning that we must wrap up the war in Gaza, bring the hostages home, and allow Netanyahu to exit politics.

Only by weaving remembrance into the fabric of governance can we guarantee that every one who sacrificed will remain at the forefront of our national consciousness.

The world may not appreciate it publicly, or even comprehend the potential Armageddon that was averted. But let others debate, delay, and equivocate. Israel acted.

The Israeli delegation heading to Cairo for talks with Hamas must hold Israel’s recent military achievements and the disintegration of Iran’s nuclear capabilities over the negotiating table.

Striving for a regime change before the war comes to an end should remain off the agenda.
