Inbred Strains of Mice: CL
CLInbr: F20 +. Strain developed by Fraser from a heterogeneous stock carrying the
mslgene (migratory spot lesion a variable white spot on the retina), crossed to A/J and subsequently inbred with selection for high frequency of spontaneous cleft lip. Frequency of the latter now 26% in viable 17-day embryos (
Bornstein et al., 1970., 1970).
