Sonic Team Takes Action - IGN

So, you've decided that you don't need to pay the monthly service fee for Phantasy Star Online (this applies only to Japan, of course, as the game is free in America). You've decided to make use of cheat codes to give yourself super powers and beat your fellow players. You're the big bully on Ragol, and you're content with your digital superiority.

Better watch out, scum of the Earth... the Sonic Police hedgehogs are on your trail faster than you can say Robotnik!

Sonic Team has issued warning after warning to players, asking them to stop any foul play when accessing the Phantasy Star Online service. And yet, the problems continue. Today, Sonic Team announced that they'd be going one step further by actually banning troublemakers. Specifically, starting on May 10 at 8 PM (Japan time), those who make use of "Remodeled Items" and those who commit two or more offenses against other players in the lobby, will have their serial number and password deactivated.

Once again, Sonic Team asks that you play nicely. You may want to listen, because although they tend to make games about fuzzy creatures in dream worlds, we hear they're a tough bunch of guys.
