The word 'exo-terrestrial' is used in preference to 'extraterrestrial.' It is more exact etymologically, less romantic and sensational, and easier to pronounce.
The design on the jacket is one of several drawings by Leonardo da Vinci of the "Deluge." He portrays the cataclysm as a terrific downbursting of water and whirlwinds.
