Industrial cooperation opportunities brought about by the integration of YRD have been expanding throughout Zhejiang province throughout the past year.
The deepened cooperation is not reflected in the number of industrial parks, but also in the new style of cooperation.
Experts point out that cities involved in the YRD region should identify their own advantages to promote resource sharing and industrial connection.
The production bases of Shanghai-based Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp in Shaoxing and Ningbo serve as good examples of how to complement regional resources and further raise the competitiveness of the integrated circuit industry in the YRD region.
There is great cooperation potential in industrial chains in YRD owing to its huge market and industrial base, according to an official from the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission.
More alliances and industrial clusters are expected to spring up in YRD to propel the high-quality development of regional industries.
