H.M.S. Wivern was one of fifteen Modified "W" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Wivern was re-commissioned on 6 July, 1923 for service with the Third Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[6]
She completed to full complement on 31 July, 1925.[7]
The ship was commissioned at Chatham on 27 September, 1928 and placed into the Reserve Fleet at the Nore.[8]
She was reduced to Maintenance Reserve at Chatham on 15 July, 1929.[9]
