CCS Visit to Edinburgh National Museum of Scotland Collections Centre
We have arranged a tour of the National Museums Collection Centre in Edinburgh, where we to hope to view a rather interesting collection of vintage computers in their reserve collection, including a Ferranti Mark 1*, A Ferranti Mercury and the remains of the Chilton Atlas 1. There may be a small charge, depending on the number of us participating.
We will meet up for the tour at 13:00 on Tuesday 2nd September, at the Collection Centre at 242 W Granton Rd, Edinburgh EH5 1JA.
We would like to get together for dinner at Howies, Victoria Street in the Old Town at 19:00 on the previous evening, Monday 1st September.
Hotel and travel arrangements are, of course, the individual responsibility of participants. There are several hotels in the vicinity of Princes Street, including the Ibis “South Bridge” and the Premier Inn at Princes Street.
Do join us, and bring partners, friends and relations. It will be fun!
