User Guide - How to add prefix or surfix to filename

Case: Add a prefix to all files in a folder, so that they all start with the same description.

Do the following:

1. Add the files to the list.
2. If there are methods in the method list click the Clear Methods toolbar button.
3. Add New Name method and configure like this:
• New name: Prefix_<Name>
• Apply To: Name
Set Prefix to what you want to add, e.g. "MyPrefix_"
4. Verify the names in the list and click Start Batch.

If you want to add a surfix instead of a prefix, you can do so by using the same method but changing the New name to something like <Name>_MySurfix.
